Project Overview
Construction of Sahand Thermal Power Plant was awarded to Boland Payeh Co. This project consists of construction of two concrete cooling towers with 130 meters height and 110 meters diameters each.
In order to increase speed and accuracy and reduce the cost, slip forming method was used. To complete this project, more than 20,000 cubic meters of concrete and 1,410 tons of reinforcement rebar is placed and 30,000 cubic meters of earthwork and 121,000 square meters of form work was performed.
Sahand Thermal power plant was constructed to help generate Iran’s required electricity for its rapidly growing population and economy.
